Science.bio permanently closes research-chemical store

Science.bio, an online seller of research chemicals including peptides and nootropics, has permanently closed. When we checked on October 19, 2026, the site served a single page titled “Science Bio — Permanently Closed”:

“After careful consideration, Science.bio has made the decision to permanently close and discontinue the sale of research products. We are deeply grateful for your ongoing support and advocacy.”

The page adds that “any website, entity, or individuals claiming to be Science.bio, a successor to Science.bio, or falsely claiming to sell our products are fraudulent, unauthorized, and have absolutely no affiliation with our company.”

When, and why

A thread on the Rapamycin Longevity News forum, opened on January 27, 2026, posted the closure email a customer had received that day; that is the earliest dated public record of the closure we have found. A customer email quoted on the forum reportedly cited “regulatory compliance reasons.” We have not seen that email ourselves, and the public notice gives no reason.

We found no FDA warning letter or DOJ action naming Science.bio. That does not rule out correspondence that has not been made public.

Context

Science.bio’s closure was the first of two high-profile voluntary shutdowns in early 2026. Peptide Sciences followed on March 6 with a notice of nearly the same structure: voluntary closure, no reason, and a warning about successors (report). Both came during a period of stepped-up FDA warning letters to online peptide sellers (tracker).
