What Amino Wire collects (an optional email brief signup, standard server logs) and what it doesn't: no accounts, no health data, no ad trackers, no selling or sharing.
Last updated October 19, 2026
Amino Wire ("we", "us") operates aminowire.news. The site has no accounts or comment forms and runs no advertising or retargeting pixels; the only cookies are Google Analytics’ first-party measurement cookies, described below. The only thing you can submit is the optional daily brief signup, described below. This policy is effective October 19, 2026. A short summary is on our disclosures page.
What is collected when I browse?
- Server logs. Our host records standard request data (IP address, page requested, time, browser type) to run and secure the site. We don't use logs to build profiles.
- Your browser. Your light or dark theme choice is saved only in your own browser. If you close the signup box, a note is saved so it doesn't reappear for 30 days.
What happens when I sign up for emails?
Some pages have an optional email signup form. There's no checkbox to tick; the short note under each button says what you'll get and how often. If you sign up, Amino Wire stores:
- your email address;
- which form you used and the page address where you signed up, without anything after the path (no search terms, calculator inputs or other values typed into the page);
- when you signed up and, later, when you confirmed;
- which version of the signup wording you saw;
- a shortened, one-way code derived from your IP address, used only to stop automated abuse. We can't turn it back into your IP address.
No health data. The form never asks about your health, conditions, medications, doses or treatment, and we don't attach that kind of information to your email address.
Confirmation first. Before Amino Wire sends any update, we'll send one email asking you to confirm. Nothing else is sent unless you confirm. Sending hasn't started yet, so for now your address is only stored.
How we use it. Only to send the emails described next to the form and to honor your unsubscribe. Emails may contain partner or affiliate links where the site has them, and each one is labeled.
Who processes signup data for us?
- Railway (railway.com) hosts this site and the database that stores signups.
- Google (Google Sheets) holds a private copy of the list so we can view it. It isn't shared publicly.
- When sending starts, the email delivery provider will be named here before the first email goes out.
These services process the data only to provide their service to us.
Do you sell or share my information?
No. Amino Wire doesn't sell or share personal information, doesn't rent or trade email addresses, and runs no advertising or retargeting pixels. We never pass your email address to vendors, clinics, advertisers or data brokers.
Do you honor Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track?
Yes. We treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) or Do Not Track signal from your browser as a request to opt out. When either signal is on, our analytics script does not load at all.
What does the analytics script record?
We use Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC, as our processor) to count visits and see which pages are read. It is not loaded on search-result pages, so what you search for is never sent. It records the page address without any query string or calculator inputs, the referring page, browser and device type, and approximate location (country and region) derived by Google; Google does not log or store IP addresses for Analytics 4. Outside the EU, UK and Switzerland it sets first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_*) to tell new visits from return visits; in those regions it runs without analytics cookies. Advertising features, Google signals and ad personalization are turned off, data is kept for 14 months, and it loads only after the page has finished loading. It does not load at all when GPC or Do Not Track is on.
How long do you keep my email address, and how do I unsubscribe?
We keep it until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Every email will have a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can also email privacy@aminowire.news. Unsubscribes take effect right away. After you unsubscribe, we keep only your address on a do-not-email list so we never email you again, unless you ask us to delete it completely.
Can I see, correct or delete my data?
Yes, wherever you live. Email privacy@aminowire.news and we'll respond within 30 days. We'll never ask for more than your email address to unsubscribe. People under 18 should not sign up.
Is the site meant for children?
No. Amino Wire is a general-audience news site, not directed to children under 13.
Will this policy change?
If we change what we collect or who processes it, we'll update this page and its date before the change goes live.
