Eli Lilly and Hims & Hers Health announced an agreement on November 6, 2026 that puts two FDA-approved Lilly obesity medicines, injectable Zepbound (tirzepatide) and the daily oral pill Foundayo (orforglipron), inside the Hims & Hers platform. Eligible patients who get a prescription from a licensed provider there will pay the same self-pay prices available to any patient, the companies said, without leaving the Hims & Hers site.

What the agreement does

The joint release describes a single flow: a patient completes a consultation, receives a prescription if the provider decides it is appropriate, and has the Lilly medicine shipped to their home. Self-pay pricing starts at $299 a month for Zepbound and $149 a month for Foundayo.

Until now, the setup was clumsier. Both Reuters and Fierce Healthcare reported that Lilly drugs reached Hims & Hers patients only if those patients left the site and went to LillyDirect, Lilly’s own cash-pay platform.

Ilya Yuffa, president of Lilly USA, said in the release that Lilly is “meeting patients where they already are.” Hims & Hers co-founder and CEO Andrew Dudum called Lilly “one of the most innovative pharmaceutical companies in history.”

Commitments on compounding and prescribing

Two commitments in the release address the history between brand-name GLP-1 makers and telehealth sellers.

First, Hims & Hers said it has never offered access to compounded copies of Lilly’s GLP-1 drugs and has committed not to do so going forward.

Second, both companies said they have committed to protecting independent clinical decision-making, so that providers on the platform keep prescribing whatever treatment they judge right for each patient. The release does not describe how that commitment will be monitored.

The Novo precedent

The deal follows a path Novo Nordisk took first. According to Reuters and Fierce Healthcare, Novo has sold Wegovy and Ozempic through Hims & Hers since March, after Novo had sued the telehealth company over compounded versions of its drugs. Reuters said the Lilly agreement puts Lilly on equal footing with its Danish rival on the platform. Fierce Healthcare said Hims & Hers’ Novo deal marked a shift toward FDA-approved branded GLP-1 treatments and away from cheaper compounded versions.

Market reaction was reported by the outlets, not the companies. Reuters said Hims & Hers shares rose more than 7% in premarket trading on the news; Fierce Healthcare said the shares jumped 8% on Friday.

What is not known

  • Volume. Neither company has said how many patients they expect to use the new route, or how much revenue it could bring either side.
  • Financial terms. The release does not disclose any payments between Lilly and Hims & Hers or how the self-pay price is split.
  • Dose-level pricing. The release gives starting prices only (“starts at”). It does not list prices for each strength.
  • Enforcement of the commitments. The release does not say what happens if either the compounding pledge or the clinical-independence pledge is breached.

Separately, Hims & Hers opened a waitlist in October for a Peptides+ offering after HHS’s draft 503A peptide policy (report). Lilly’s latest quarterly results, which showed continued growth in Zepbound demand, are in our Lilly Q3 story.
